Amaravati Second Phase Land Pooling: ₹40,000 Annual Lease per Acre for Farmers

A key milestone has been reached in the construction of the greenfield capital city Amaravati . The State Government has issued clear guidelines for the second phase of land pooling , aimed at accelerating development. As part of this initiative, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced a major financial support package for farmers contributing land, including lease payments for ten years and relief measures for farm loans.

₹40,000 Lease per Acre with Annual Increase

Under the second phase, farmers who offer their land will receive an annual lease of ₹40,000 per acre for ten years . In addition, the government has assured a yearly increase of ₹3,000 in the lease amount to offset rising costs, ensuring a stable long-term income for farmers.

₹1.5 Lakh Loan Support for Farmer Families

Farmers from 10 villages in Tadikonda and Pedakurapadu constituencies recently met the Chief Minister to present their concerns. Responding positively, the government agreed to extend crop loan assistance of ₹1.5 lakh to each farmer family participating in the land pooling process, providing immediate financial relief .

Land Acquisition Progress: Minister P. Narayana

Providing details on the progress, Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana stated that 31,150 farmers have voluntarily contributed 34,983 acres of land so far. Of this, 1,000 acres were contributed by farmers from Pedaparimi village , which he described as significant. With 54,000 acres already in possession , the government has launched the second phase to acquire an additional 40,000 acres .

Additional Land for Infrastructure Development

The government clarified that the additional land is being acquired solely for world-class infrastructure projects to develop Amaravati into an international-standard city . Key projects include:

• Construction of an inner ring road around Amaravati

• Development of a new railway station and expansion of railway tracks

• Establishment of an international sports city

The second phase, which began in November 2025 with the acquisition of 16,666 acres from seven villages , is expected to gain momentum following the latest lease announcement. The government has assured farmers that, along with developed plots , enhanced lease payments and financial assistance will be provided in a timely manner.
