Alwal TIMS, Warangal Super Specialty Hospitals Set for Launch This Year
Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has directed officials to speed up construction of the Alwal Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) and Warangal Super Specialty Hospital, setting a target to bring both healthcare facilities into public service within this year. The minister stressed the need to accelerate the ongoing works and ensure that the projects are completed without further delays.
During a review meeting with senior officials of the Roads and Buildings Department at the Dr BR Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat on Monday, Venkat Reddy assessed the progress of several major infrastructure projects across Telangana. The discussions covered ongoing road development works, Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) roads, expansion of Osmania General Hospital and NIMS, and construction of the new Telangana High Court building.
The minister instructed officials to closely monitor the progress of each project and take necessary measures to complete the works within the prescribed timelines. He emphasised that timely execution of infrastructure projects was essential to ensure that the intended benefits reached the public.
The meeting also focused on arrangements for the 85th Indian Roads Congress (IRC) conference, scheduled to take place at Hyderabad's HITEX from November 19 to 22. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy are expected to inaugurate the four-day conference.
Venkat Reddy said the event should be organised as a major platform to project Telangana's progress in infrastructure development and highlight its potential to attract investments. He called for a dedicated Telangana Pavilion to showcase the state's achievements, ongoing projects and development opportunities to delegates from across India and abroad.
The minister further suggested using the international gathering to build momentum for the Invest Telangana Global Summit, scheduled for December. He asked officials to make the most of the IRC conference to draw attention to the state's infrastructure initiatives and investment-friendly environment.
