Allu Arjun’s 'Raaka' To Release Soon? Atlee Finally Breaks Silence On Date
Allu Arjun’s highly anticipated film 'Raaka' is getting bigger with every update, but fans will have to wait a little longer to see the actor on the big screen in Atlee’s ambitious sci-fi action film. Director Atlee recently addressed the film’s release date, but stopped short of announcing a specific timeline.
During a recent public appearance, Atlee was asked when 'Raaka' would be released. In his trademark light-hearted style, the filmmaker joked that even the producer had not asked him about the release date. He then assured fans that the film would arrive soon, without revealing an exact date or release window.
The wait is understandable considering the scale of the project. 'Raaka' has already made headlines by entering the Guinness World Records for the Most People Motion-Captured in Real-Time, with 37 performers captured simultaneously. The record-breaking sequence involved 92 motion-capture cameras, with performers ranging from a four-year-old child to a 70-year-old.
The makers have also announced that the first proper glimpse of 'Raaka' will arrive in December. A cryptic “37” teaser previously sparked several fan theories before the Guinness World Record announcement explained its significance.
The film marks Allu Arjun’s first collaboration with Atlee and is produced by Sun Pictures. Deepika Padukone is part of the officially announced cast, while Rashmika Mandanna, Janhvi Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur have been linked to the project in reports. Sun Pictures’ official page currently lists Allu Arjun, Atlee and Deepika Padukone among the film’s cast and crew.
Reports have also suggested that 'Raaka' could be planned as a two-part franchise spanning different timelines, with a reported massive budget. However, the makers have not officially confirmed the two-part structure or several of the reported character details.
Sai Abhyankkar is composing the music for the film. Meanwhile, Aishwarya Lekshmi recently dismissed reports that she was part of 'Raaka', even jokingly asking the makers to cast her.
Atlee also opened up about a possible collaboration with Jason Sanjay, son of actor Vijay. Jason recently made his directorial debut with 'Sigma', starring Sundeep Kishan and Faria Abdullah.
Atlee, who has directed Vijay in 'Theri', 'Mersal' and 'Bigil', said he would definitely work with Jason and referred to him as their “younger brother ”. He added that they have stories and that making films is what they know best.
Asked whether he would work with Jason as a director or producer, Atlee jokingly said they would do so when the right time and project come together. He did not confirm any specific collaboration.
