Allu Arjun skipped yet another in person date with the Nampally Criminal Court , choosing to log in virtually from Mumbai on Monday where the star is deep into shoot schedules for his upcoming film. The Sandhya Theatre stampede case rolled on with the actor watching proceedings over video call instead of walking into court himself, a move his legal team had cleared in advance citing his packed calendar.

His counsel confirmed that two of the other accused failed to show up this time and will now need to file an absence petition explaining themselves. Of the full list of 23 accused, 21 turned up in person and were handed copies of the chargesheet by the prosecution. The court has now pushed the matter to July 29 , giving everyone a few more weeks before the next round.

Here's what fans might not know. The chargesheet itself was filed by Chikkadpally police in the last week of December 2025, months after the tragedy, naming all 23 accused under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita . Allu Arjun, listed as Accused No. 11 , was briefly taken into custody right after the incident before being granted bail . The FIR traces back to a complaint filed by the family of the woman who died. Accused No. 1 through 10 are the theatre's own people, its owner, partners, manager, lower balcony in charge, and even the gatekeeper.

The tragedy itself unfolded on December 4, 2024, when massive crowds swarmed Sandhya 70 MM theatre at RTC Cross Roads in Chikkadpally for a special benefit screening of Pushpa 2: The Rule . The crush claimed the life of Revathi while her young son Sritej suffered serious injuries, an incident that sparked a nationwide conversation on celebrity event safety and crowd control.

Interestingly, this virtual appearance marks a shift from the previous hearing on June 22, when Arjun was completely absent, neither in person nor online, drawing a sharp response from the court. This time his advocate ensured he showed face on screen, even as questions swirl about whether he'll finally appear in person come July 29.
