Allu Arjun Appears Virtually Before Hyderabad Court in Pushpa 2 Stampede Case, Next Hearing on July 6

Telugu actor Allu Arjun appeared before a city court on Monday after being summoned in connection with the death of a woman during a stampede at the premiere of 'Pushpa 2' at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad in December 2024.

The court had earlier taken cognisance of a charge sheet filed by Hyderabad police in December 2025 against 23 accused , including Allu Arjun, and subsequently issued summons directing all of them to appear on Monday. While Arjun marked his presence virtually , the remaining accused appeared before the court in person . The matter has been posted to July 6 for the next hearing.

The tragedy unfolded on December 4, 2024 , when a massive crowd gathered at Sandhya Theatre to catch a glimpse of the actor during the film's premiere. The resulting stampede claimed the life of a 35-year-old woman and left her eight-year-old son seriously injured .

Following the incident, Hyderabad police registered a case against Allu Arjun, his security team , and the theatre management based on a complaint lodged by the deceased woman's family. In the charge sheet, the theatre's owner, partners, manager, lower-balcony in-charge, and gatekeeper were named as accused numbers 1 to 10, while Allu Arjun has been named accused number 11 .

The actor was arrested on December 13, 2024 , but was released the following day after the Telangana High Court granted him interim bail. He was subsequently granted regular bail as well.

In the aftermath of the tragedy, both Allu Arjun and the producers of 'Pushpa 2' extended financial assistance to the family of the deceased woman and her injured son. The Telangana government also announced a separate financial relief package for the family.

The case, registered under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Chikkadpally police station, continues to move through trial proceedings. All eyes will now be on the July 6 hearing as the case progresses in court.
