All-New Kia Seltos launched in Hyderabad, prices start at ₹10.99 lakh

Kia India on Monday launched the All-New Kia Seltos at the Automotive Kia showroom in Nagole, Hyderabad, strengthening its presence in the highly competitive mid-size SUV segment. The next-generation Seltos has been introduced at a starting price of ₹10.99 lakh (ex-showroom) .

Engineered for a new generation of SUV buyers, the All-New Seltos is built on Kia’s India-first global K3 platform, bringing notable upgrades in design, safety, technology and driving refinement. With a segment-leading length of 4,460 mm , a width of 1,830 mm and an extended wheelbase of 2,690 mm , the SUV offers improved road presence, enhanced cabin space and better ride stability.

The exterior reflects Kia’s ‘ Opposites United’ design philosophy, highlighted by the new Digital Tiger Face, Ice Cube LED projector headlamps, Star Map LED DRLs, connected LED tail lamps and 18-inch crystal-cut alloy wheels . The Seltos also introduces segment-first automatic streamline door handles with a dynamic welcome function. It will be available in 10 mono-tone colour options, including the new shades Morning Haze and Magma Red.

Inside, the All-New Seltos reinforces Kia’s mass-premium positioning with a technology-focused cabin. Key features include a 75.18 cm (30-inch) Trinity Panoramic Display Panel, premium leatherette upholstery, ventilated front seats, a 10-way power-adjustable driver seat with memory, Bose 8-speaker premium audio system, 64-colour ambient mood lighting and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof.

Safety remains a core focus, with the SUV equipped with a 24-standard safety package, including six airbags , ABS and hill-start assist . The model also offers Level-2 ADAS with 21 autonomous features, supported by a 360 - degree surround view camera and Blind View Monitor, aimed at enhancing driver confidence and occupant protection.

The All-New Seltos is offered with multiple powertrain options 1.5-litre Smartstream petrol, 1.5-litre T-GDI petrol and 1.5-litre CRDi VGT diesel — paired with a range of transmission choices including 6-speed manual, iMT, IVT, 7-speed DCT and 6-speed automatic. It is available in HTE, HTK, HTX and GTX/X-Line trims, along with option packs focused on convenience, premium features, ADAS and X-Line styling.

In comparison, its key rival, the Tata Sierra , is positioned as a more premium alternative, priced between ₹11.49 lakh and ₹21.29 lakh (ex-showroom) . The Sierra places strong emphasis on comfort and cabin technology, offering a triple-screen digital dashboard, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ventilated and powered front seats, Level-2 ADAS with a 360-degree camera, a premium JBL audio system, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

While the Tata Sierra appeals to buyers seeking a more feature-rich and premium interior experience, the All-New Kia Seltos stands out with its lower starting price, broader powertrain choices, refreshed design and balanced mix of technology and safety, making it a strong value-driven contender in the mid-size SUV segment.
