Ajith Kumar’s 'Dare Devil' Sees Casting Changes As Kayadu Lohar Replaces Sreeleela

Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar is gearing up to reunite with director Adhik Ravichandran for 'Dare Devil', his next film after 'Good Bad Ugly'. The upcoming action entertainer is reportedly undergoing key casting changes ahead of its production, with Kayadu Lohar tipped to replace Sreeleela as the female lead and Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan rumoured to join the cast in a significant role.

According to reports circulating in Kollywood, Sreeleela was initially considered for the female lead but is believed to have exited the project because of date-related issues. Kayadu Lohar, who has been gaining attention through her recent film appearances, is now reportedly being considered for the role. However, the makers have yet to officially confirm the casting change.

Another reported development concerns the film's supporting cast. Mohanlal was previously linked to a key role, but recent reports suggest that 'Marco' actor Unni Mukundan could step into the part. There is also speculation that Kannada stars Kichcha Sudeepa and Upendra could be approached for important roles, although their involvement has not been confirmed.

The film is expected to go on floors on November 2, 2026, at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. Reports suggest that the makers have constructed an elaborate casino set for a major portion of the shoot. There is also industry buzz that Ajith could portray a character with negative shades, though details about his role remain under wraps.

'Dare Devil' marks Ajith and Adhik's second collaboration following 'Good Bad Ugly'. The film will be produced by Shalini Ajithkumar under the banner of Brave Hearts Production, marking her debut as a film producer. Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music and background score, reuniting with Ajith after 'Vidaamuyarchi' and marking his first collaboration with Adhik.

While the makers have confirmed the project and its production plans, the reported casting changes and additional star appearances are yet to receive official confirmation.
