AI-Powered Mahabharat to premiere on WAVES OTT and Doordarshan

In a landmark collaboration blending tradition with technology, Collective Media Network and Prasar Bharati are set to present an AI-led reimagining of India’s legendary epic, Mahabharat . The series will have its exclusive digital premiere on WAVES OTT on October 25, 2025, followed by a telecast on Doordarshan every Sunday at 11:00 AM from November 2, 2025. The show will be accessible to audiences across India and worldwide, bringing one of the country’s most cherished stories to a global stage.

This first-of-its-kind project leverages advanced AI technology to reconstruct the vast Mahabharat universe from its iconic characters and epic battles to its deep emotions and moral dilemmas with cinematic scale and striking realism. The collaboration represents a fusion of India’s rich cultural heritage with cutting-edge storytelling innovation, reflecting the ethos of Make in India and Digital India .
