
AIIMS Opens 1,383 Group B and C Vacancies across India
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has announced the commencement of the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE-4) 2025, inviting applications for a total of 1,383 Group B and Group C posts across 26 participating institutes nationwide. The recruitment includes a variety of administrative, technical, medical, and support staff positions at AIIMS branches in New Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Bathinda, Gorakhpur, Jodhpur, Kalyani, Nagpur, Patna, Raebareli, Vijaypur, as well as at AIIMS-CAPFIMS New Delhi, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), JIPMER Puducherry, Pasteur Institute of India, RHTC Najafgarh, and RIPANS Aizawl. The online application process began on 14 November 2025 and will close on 2 December 2025 at 5:00 PM, with applications accepted exclusively through the official AIIMS exam portal at www.aiimsexams.ac.in .
The recruitment covers 52 different post categories, including Assistant Administrative Officer, Junior Administrative Assistant, Lower Division Clerk, Junior Engineer (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Safety, Instrumentation), Staff Nurse, Senior Nursing Officer, Technician (OT, Radiology, Radiotherapy), Pharmacist, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Medical Record Officer, Warden, Security Officer, Fire Technician, Programmer, Embryologist, Yoga Instructor, and more. Candidates are allowed to apply for multiple groups, but separate application fees are required for each, and reservations for UR/EWS/OBC/SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen are applicable according to government norms.
Eligibility varies by post and ranges from 10th/Matriculation for Hospital Attendant, Mortuary Attendant, and Multi-Tasking Staff; 12th/Intermediate for Lab and X-Ray Technicians; Diploma for engineering and technical trades; Bachelor’s degrees (B.Sc., B.Tech, B.Pharmacy, BPT, BOT, etc.) for professional roles; and Master’s degrees (M.Sc., M.Tech., MPT, etc.) for senior technical positions. Professional qualifications such as B.Sc. Nursing and GNM are required for nursing roles. Candidates must be Indian citizens, and any required experience must be acquired after obtaining the essential educational qualification, verified with proper documentation. The minimum age is 18 years, and the maximum varies by post, generally up to 50 years, with relaxation applicable to reserved categories, ex-servicemen, persons with benchmark disabilities, and central government employees.
Salaries are provided as per the 7th Central Pay Commission, with Group C posts offering ₹18,000–₹56,900 per month (Pay Level 1–6) and Group B posts ₹35,400–₹78,800 per month (Pay Level 6–8), along with dearness allowance (DA), house rent allowance (HRA), transport allowance (TA), medical benefits for self and dependents, leave benefits under CCS rules, and pension under the New Pension Scheme (NPS).
The selection process includes a Computer Based Test (CBT) of 100 multiple-choice questions totaling 400 marks, with a tentative duration of 90 minutes and a section-wise structure covering general knowledge, aptitude, computer knowledge, and domain-specific subjects. Negative marking of 0.25 marks per incorrect answer applies, with qualifying marks at 40% for UR/EWS, 35% for OBC, and 30% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates. Candidates qualifying the CBT for applicable posts will undergo skill tests such as typing, stenography, programming, physical efficiency tests, and translation tests. Shortlisted candidates will then proceed for document verification, where original certificates, category certificates, and NOC (for government employees) will be checked. Tie-breakers will be resolved by domain-specific marks, fewer wrong answers, and candidate age.
Application fees are ₹3,000 for General/OBC candidates, ₹2,400 for SC/ST/EWS, and exempted for PwBD candidates, payable via debit card, credit card, or net banking. Fees are non-refundable except for SC/ST candidates, whose fee will be refunded after the exam results. Candidates are advised to carefully complete the online form, upload required documents, and submit the NOC if applicable. Submission of the application does not guarantee eligibility, and any misinformation or failure to produce required documents may lead to disqualification. The place of posting will be determined by the respective AIIMS institute.
