Reinforcing his government's focus on last-mile service delivery , Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to ensure that the benefits of governance reach every citizen, particularly those living in remote and underserved areas. He stressed that achieving the state's development goals requires seamless coordination between the political leadership and the administrative machinery .

During a high-level review meeting on Monday, the Chief Minister outlined a series of measures aimed at strengthening governance, improving emergency response systems and enhancing public satisfaction with government services.

A key focus of the review was the functioning of the Real-Time Governance Society (RTGS) , which Naidu described as the nerve centre of citizen-centric administration. He instructed officials to ensure that RTGS functions 24 hours a day , enabling authorities to respond swiftly to public grievances and emergencies. Referring to the recent fishing boat accident off the Visakhapatnam coast , he observed that the effectiveness of government intervention often depends on how quickly multiple departments can coordinate during a crisis. To improve preparedness, he called for a dedicated inter-departmental coordination mechanism under the leadership of the Chief Secretary .

Highlighting the growing role of technology in governance, the Chief Minister said the government is experimenting with Artificial Intelligence-based assessment tools in Chittoor district to gauge public satisfaction with government services. However, he cautioned that technology should complement, not replace, direct engagement with people. Officials, he said, must regularly visit villages and urban localities to understand public concerns firsthand and ensure that welfare schemes are delivering tangible benefits on the ground.

Naidu also reviewed the status of pending petitions under the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) and directed departments to expedite their disposal. He called for a comprehensive action plan across all wings of government and made it clear that district collectors and senior officials would be held accountable for ensuring visible outcomes.

In a significant welfare initiative, the Chief Minister instructed officials to expand Anna Canteens into tribal and remote regions , extending access to subsidised meals for vulnerable communities. He also ordered the police department to intensify efforts to curb crimes against women and launch a sustained crackdown on ganja trafficking networks operating across the state.

The directions reflect the government's broader push towards technology-enabled governance , faster grievance resolution and stronger grassroots administration, with a renewed emphasis on ensuring that public services effectively reach the state's last citizen.
