Agniveer Vayu Recruitment Opens Doors for Telangana, AP Youth

Koya Sri Harsha , the District Collector of Peddapalli district , has encouraged unemployed youth to take advantage of recruitment opportunities in the Indian Air Force through the Agnipath Scheme . He said the initiative offers young aspirants a chance to serve the nation while gaining professional training and valuable experience.

Sharing the information on the social media platform X , the Collector noted that the Indian Air Force has issued two notifications for the recruitment of Agniveer Vayu personnel. These announcements open new avenues for eligible youth to pursue a career in the defence services.

As part of the recruitment drive, an Agniveer Vayu Open Recruitment Rally–2026 will be held on March 9 in Guntur for candidates from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana . Aspirants interested in attending the rally can directly participate by carrying the necessary documents required for verification and further selection procedures.

In addition, another notification has been released for Agniveer Vayu Intake 2027 , inviting online applications from eligible candidates. According to the guidelines, applicants must be unmarried and generally below 22 years of age , while the minimum educational qualification prescribed for both notifications is Intermediate (Class 12) from a recognised board.

The Agnipath Scheme , introduced by the Government of India, allows selected candidates to serve in the armed forces for a four-year tenure , during which they receive military training, a structured salary package, and opportunities to develop technical and professional skills. After completing the tenure, up to 25 percent of Agniveers may be retained in regular service , while others are provided financial benefits and skill certificates to support their future career paths.
