Agnihotri, Bhushan Kumar team up for ‘Operation Sindoor’ film on 2025 military strikes

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has announced a new feature film titled Operation Sindoor , marking his first collaboration with producer Bhushan Kumar. The project is based on a book by Lt Gen K.J.S. “Tiny” Dhillon and centres on India’s reported precision missile strikes on nine terror camps in May 2025, carried out in response to a deadly militant attack in Pahalgam that left more than a dozen civilians dead.

Positioned as a dramatized retelling of recent events, the film is expected to focus on the strategic planning and execution of the operation, while also exploring the broader national security narrative surrounding cross-border terrorism .
