Affordable Quality Healthcare Is Our Mission: Minister Sathya Kumar Yadav

Andhra Pradesh is emerging as a national leader in AI-driven healthcare , using advanced technology to deliver affordable , high-quality medical services to the public. State Health Minister Sathya Kumar Yadav said the state has earned recognition as a “Lighthouse State” for successfully implementing Artificial Intelligence solutions under the Med Tech Challenge initiative.

Speaking at a conference on AI-based healthcare services in Mangalagiri, the minister said AI-powered diagnostics are helping doctors provide faster , more accurate treatment by identifying diseases at an early stage. He noted that reduced testing costs are also easing the financial burden on economically weaker families.

The government is preparing to use AI technology to reduce the impact of 10 major diseases , including non-communicable illnesses. The minister credited Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for introducing technology-driven reforms in the health sector, stating that a healthy population is key to achieving the vision of a developed Andhra Pradesh.

Under the Med Tech Challenge programme, 18 startups have deployed modern devices and AI-based solutions in government hospitals across the state. According to the minister, outpatient services in government hospitals have increased by 20 percent , while inpatient care has also improved significantly. Andhra Pradesh has additionally secured the top rank in the country for ABHA registrations , highlighting its rapid progress in digital healthcare integration.

During the event, several startups received cash incentives for their performance in pilot projects. Solicit Technologies was recognised for AI-powered diagnostics, Remidio Innovative Solutions for portable medical devices, CareNX Innovations for smart monitoring systems, and Rejouvine Medicare India for remote patient monitoring services.
