Adilabad Wards Allocated via Lottery Under Collector’s Supervision

Preparations intensified in Adilabad district even before the municipal election drumbeats began. On Saturday, at the Adilabad Collectorate conference hall, District Collector Rajarshi Shah conducted the reservation lottery for the 49 wards of Adilabad Municipality. He stated that the process was carried out fully transparently and in accordance with the rules. Through this lottery process, undertaken as part of municipal election preparations, reservations for SC, ST, BC, women, and general categories were finalized.

The event was attended by Additional Collector Rajeshwar , Adilabad Municipal Commissioner CVN Raju , District Election Officer (DLPO) Phaninder , along with officials from the municipal and revenue departments. Representatives from various political parties were also present to directly observe the lottery process.

After the reservation process concluded, the Collector emphasized that measures are being taken to ensure fairness for all groups without leaving any room for doubt in election management.

With the confirmation of these reservations, the political atmosphere in the district heated up instantly. Candidates have begun strategizing based on the wards assigned to them.
