Adani CNG Price Crosses Rs 100 Per Kg in Ahmedabad for First Time

Adani CNG prices in Ahmedabad have crossed the Rs 100-per-kg mark for the first time, following a hike of Rs 2.30 per kg, taking the retail rate to Rs 100.77 from the earlier Rs 98.47.

The latest increase brings CNG prices in the Gujarat city closer to petrol rates, with petrol currently retailing at Rs 101.83 per litre.

Confirming the price revision on Thursday, Tansukh Patel, treasurer of the Federation of Gujarat Petroleum Dealers Association (FGPDA), said the revised rate had taken CNG prices in Ahmedabad beyond the Rs 100 mark.

Ahmedabad has around 50 Adani CNG stations, Patel added.

The increase marks a significant development in the city's fuel pricing, as CNG, generally considered a more economical alternative to petrol, is now being sold at a rate just over Re 1 lower per unit of measurement than petrol.

Meanwhile, CNG prices have also increased in other parts of Gujarat. In Vadodara, the rate has been raised to Rs 98.95 per kg, according to FGPDA president Mehul Patel.
