Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani on Sunday performed Bhoomi Pujan for the proposed Adani Centre for Eye Diseases (ACE) in Mastichak area of Bihar’s Saran district, marking the launch of a major eye care initiative in partnership with Akhand Jyoti Eye Hospital .

The centre, being developed in collaboration with the Akhand Jyoti Foundation , aims to provide accessible and affordable eye care services to underserved populations. Along with ACE, the initiative will also establish the Adani Training Centre for Ophthalmic Medicine (ATOM) to train eye specialists and women healthcare workers, strengthening the healthcare ecosystem in the region.

Adani was accompanied by Priti Adani , Chairperson of the Adani Foundation, during the ceremony. Prior to the event, they visited the Gayatri Shaktipeeth in the area and offered prayers.

In a post on X, Gautam Adani said the Adani Foundation, in association with the Akhand Jyoti Trust, will continue to work “with dedication and sensitivity” and has committed over ₹700 crore in support of such social service initiatives in the coming years.

Describing the initiative as a mission to restore not only eyesight but also “hope, confidence and dignity,” Adani said the project reflects a broader commitment to service-driven development.

He also acknowledged the contributions of the Akhand Jyoti Foundation and its leadership, stating that their work in the field of social service has inspired the collaboration.

The ACE project is expected to significantly expand eye care access in Bihar and serve as a model for similar initiatives across the country, combining healthcare delivery with medical training and community outreach.
