In a major push toward digital transformation in Indian aviation, Adani Airport Holdings Ltd (AAHL) has partnered with AIONOS, part of InterGlobe Enterprises, to introduce an AI-driven passenger engagement system that promises a more personalised and seamless airport experience.

The agreement, signed in New Delhi on Thursday, brings artificial intelligence, data analytics, and multilingual automation together to simplify how travellers navigate airports. The new 24x7 intelligent concierge will assist passengers with flight schedules, gate details, baggage updates, navigation, and airport services, all accessible through voice, chat, and mobile platforms in multiple languages, including English and Hindi.

Transforming aviation through technology The aviation industry has been quick to embrace emerging technologies, from biometric boarding and facial recognition-based check-ins to automated baggage handling systems, real-time data analytics, and AI-powered predictive maintenance. These innovations are reshaping air travel, enhancing both efficiency and passenger satisfaction.

With this new collaboration, Adani Airports aims to integrate AI deeply into its operational ecosystem, connecting digital platforms like Aviio, Adani OneApp, and Airport-in-a-Box. Together, these systems will not only improve convenience for passengers but also help optimize workforce management, streamline logistics, and improve overall airport efficiency.

AAHL CEO Arun Bansal said the initiative represents a leap forward in the way passengers experience airports. “The AI-driven system will transform engagement by merging convenience, technology, and inclusivity into one intelligent platform,” he said.

Currently managing seven airports across India, AAHL is preparing to begin operations at the Navi Mumbai International Airport, where such advanced digital infrastructure is expected to become a benchmark for the next generation of airports.
