Dharmatic Entertainment’s psychological thriller Accused has turned into a surprise streaming blockbuster , emerging as Netflix India’s most watched original title across films and series in the first half of 2026 after its direct to digital premiere.

Starring Konkona Sen Sharma and Pratibha Ranta , the Anubhuti Kashyap directorial has recorded around 19.4 million views on Netflix, making it one of the biggest Indian streaming successes of the year. The film achieved this milestone within just four and a half months of release and entered the top 10 most watched Netflix original Indian films by viewership .

Netflix’s Half Yearly Worldwide Engagement Report revealed that Accused also made a mark globally, ranking 67th among more than 9,000 titles worldwide . The film was among India’s top performers alongside major releases, underlining the growing international reach of Indian original content on streaming platforms.

Directed by Anubhuti Kashyap , known for Doctor G , Accused explores a tense psychological and emotional conflict centred around allegations, power dynamics, relationships and public judgement. The film features Konkona Sen Sharma as a respected doctor facing serious accusations, while Pratibha Ranta plays a character caught between loyalty, doubt and personal turmoil.
