Fans of the Game of Thrones universe have something to look forward to early next year. HBO’s celebrated fantasy world expands with the upcoming spin-off series, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms , which is set to premiere on JioHotstar in January 2026. Adapted from George R.R. Martin’s novella The Hedge Knight , the series transports audiences a century before the events of Game of Thrones . It follows the adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall, portrayed by Peter Claffey, and his young squire, Egg, played by Dexter Sol Ansell. According to the official logline, the show will explore “great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits” in Westeros where the Targaryen dynasty still rules and dragons are not yet forgotten.
