A CEO for Ayodhya Ram Mandir? Temple Trust Opens Applications for First-Ever CEO Post

In a significant administrative step, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has invited applications for the post of the first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The trust announced on Monday that applications will be accepted until 4 pm on July 18 .

The move marks an important milestone in the management of one of the country’s most prominent religious institutions. According to the trust, the selected CEO will be entrusted with responsibilities that will be defined exclusively by the trust itself.

Speaking to reporters, Nripendra Mishra , chairman of the Ram Temple Construction Committee , said the foremost duty of the CEO would be to maintain and strengthen devotees’ faith in the trust . He added that the trust would determine the powers, functions and responsibilities associated with the position.

Earlier this month, the trust constituted a three-member selection panel to examine applications and recommend suitable candidates. The committee comprises retired Supreme Court judge Justice Pramod Kohli , retired Lieutenant General Vishnukant Chaturvedi , and former NIT Raipur chairperson Suresh Haware .

Mishra clarified that he would not be a member of the selection panel. He also said he would decide whether to attend the trust’s scheduled meeting on July 22 after reviewing its agenda. He further noted that members associated with the temple’s construction serve as ex officio members and do not possess voting rights within the trust.

The announcement comes at a time when the trust has been facing allegations regarding the handling of temple funds and valuables, making the appointment of a professional administrator a closely watched development.
