
₹61 Crore Infrastructure Push to Transform Payakaraopeta, Says Vangalapudi Anitha
State Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha said the government is giving top priority to the development of the Payakaraopeta constituency . On Saturday, she chaired a key meeting with constituency coordination committee members and cluster unit in-charges at the camp office in Nakkapalli in Anakapalli district. The meeting reviewed ongoing development works and strategies to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
Addressing the participants, the minister said significant funds are being allocated to transform the constituency following the formation of the coalition government . She noted that ₹13 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of a bridge between Pedda Uppalam and Lingarajupalem in S. Rayavaram mandal. Another ₹16 crore has been earmarked for cutting through a hill and building a road at Indesamma Vaka in Kotavuratla mandal, fulfilling a long-pending demand of local residents.
She said the government is also focusing on improving healthcare and education in the region. The Nakkapalli Government Hospital will be upgraded into a 100-bed multi-speciality hospital with an investment of ₹32.80 crore, along with the establishment of a trauma care centre. In addition, ₹50 lakh has been sanctioned for the development of the Penugollu hospital. The government is also considering the establishment of a nationally recognised school in the constituency.
To create more employment opportunities , a dry fish processing unit named “Swayam” will be set up in Nakkapalli mandal, the minister said. She also stated that steps are being taken to construct a BC Welfare Hostel in Rajayyapeta. Minister Anitha expressed gratitude to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for his special focus on the development of the constituency.
Meanwhile, she announced that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Minister Nara Lokesh will attend the foundation ceremony of the steel plant scheduled on the 23rd of this month. She urged party leaders and workers to coordinate and ensure the success of the programme.
