
5,810 Railway jobs now open
The Ministry of Railways, through its Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), has released a significant career announcement with the detailed Centralized Employment Notification (CEN No. 06/2025) for Non-Technical Popular Categories (Graduate) posts. This massive recruitment drive offers a golden opportunity for graduates seeking stable and rewarding employment across India’s vast railway network in the coming year.
A substantial 5,810 vacancies are set to be filled across various RRBs, presenting one of the largest recruitment initiatives in the category. The notification outlines several key roles that are now open for application. The post with the highest number of openings is the crucial Goods Train Manager, accounting for 3,416 posts.
Other notable opportunities include positions like Junior Accounts Assistant Cum Typist with 921 vacancies, Senior Clerk Cum Typist with 638 vacancies, and the highly desirable role of Station Master with 615 vacancies. Additionally, there are openings for Chief Commercial Cum Ticket Supervisor (161 posts) and Traffic Assistant (59 posts).
The entire application process is strictly online and candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria before applying. The window for online application opened on October 21, 2025, and the critical closing date for submission is November 20, 2025, at 23:59 hours.
To be eligible, candidates must possess the prescribed minimum Graduate degree qualification from a recognized institution on or before the closing date of the application. Importantly, candidates who are awaiting their final examination results are strictly not eligible to apply. The general age limit for the posts is 18-33 years as of January 1, 2026, with standard age relaxations applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories.
The recruitment process involves Computer Based Tests (CBTs). Aspirants should note that there will be negative marking in the CBTs, with 1/3rd of the mark deducted for every incorrect answer. Given the high number of vacancies and the competitive nature of Railway jobs, candidates are advised to apply promptly and begin their preparations immediately.
