₹55.74 Crore Development Works Planned for Arasavalli Temple

Union Minister Rammohan Naidu offered prayers at the Arasavalli Sri Suryanarayana Swamy Temple, a prominent pilgrimage centre and revered shrine for people across North Andhra Pradesh. Speaking after the darshan, he said that worshipping Lord Suryanarayana provides a deep sense of mental peace and spiritual satisfaction.

Following his visit to the temple, Rammohan Naidu held a detailed review meeting with officials on the development initiatives proposed under the Swadesh Darshan 2.0 scheme. The Centre has sanctioned ₹55.74 crore for various works aimed at improving the temple and strengthening facilities for devotees.

The Union Minister said the sanctioned funds would be utilised for a range of development activities designed to enhance the overall appearance and prominence of the historic shrine. He emphasised that the works should contribute to preserving and showcasing the religious and cultural significance of Arasavalli Temple, while also making the pilgrimage experience more convenient for visitors.

The proposed initiatives are expected to focus on improving facilities available to devotees and creating a better environment around the temple premises. The development is also intended to further highlight the temple's importance as one of the region's major spiritual destinations.

During the review, the officials discussed the works to be undertaken with the sanctioned funds and the measures required for their effective implementation. The minister stressed the importance of ensuring that the projects are carried out in a manner that reflects the historical and spiritual importance of the shrine.

Arasavalli Temple is widely revered for its association with Lord Suryanarayana, with devotees from different parts of Andhra Pradesh and neighbouring regions visiting the shrine to offer prayers. The proposed investment is expected to provide improved amenities while enhancing the overall experience for pilgrims.

Srikakulam District Collector Swapanil Dinkar Pundkar, Srikakulam MLA Gondu Shankar, and other officials attended the review meeting. The participation of senior district officials reflected the focus on coordinating the proposed development works and ensuring effective utilisation of the sanctioned funds.
