43 votes from one house? Jubilee Hills polls under scrutiny
Allegations of vote manipulation have emerged in the Jubilee Hills by-election, with BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy accusing Congress of wrongdoing. According to Kaushik Reddy, their investigation revealed that a single household at Booth No. 246 in Yusufguda registered 43 votes illegally.
Kaushik Reddy criticized the Congress party, pointing out the contradiction between national leader Rahul Gandhi’s claims that votes are being tampered with across India and the alleged misconduct by his own party in Telangana. “If vote rigging is happening in Telangana, why is Rahul Gandhi silent? Isn’t this also vote tampering?” Reddy asked.
He accused Congress candidate Naveen Yadav of distributing fake votes in the constituency and creating fraudulent voter records to influence the election outcome. Kaushik Reddy demanded that the Election Commission immediately investigate the irregularities, identify the culprits, and punish them.
Kaushik Reddy also claimed that Congress is resorting to such tactics out of fear of losing and asserted that the BRS is certain to win the Jubilee Hills by-election despite these alleged malpractices. He emphasized that the issue of fake votes has become a major political controversy and urged the Election Commission to take swift action.
