42 Countries, 2,500 Delegates, One Vision: Telangana Rising Global Summit Begins Tomorrow

Telangana is gearing up to host one of the most ambitious investment and development gatherings in its history, the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 scheduled for December 8 and 9 at the proposed Bharat Future City near Hyderabad. Designed to showcase the state’s long-term development vision and attract global partnerships, the summit aims to position Telangana as a rising center for innovation, investment, and inclusive growth. The event will also mark the unveiling of the ‘Telangana Rising 2047 Vision Document,’ an expansive roadmap that outlines the government’s plan to transform Telangana into a USD 3 trillion economy by 2047, aligning with India’s centennial year of independence.

The summit will bring together a distinguished lineup of speakers and participants, including Nobel laureates Abhijit Banerjee and Kailash Satyarthi, Biocon Executive Chairperson Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, and Eric Swider, Director of Trump Media & Technology Group. Major international development organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), World Bank, Asian Development Bank (ADB), and UNICEF will also be represented, signaling the global relevance of the event. More than 2,500 participants from over 42 countries, including at least 225 international delegates, have confirmed their attendance. These include government officials, policy experts, global think-tank members, academicians, financial leaders, and industry strategists. While reports suggest that invitations were extended to prominent world figures including former heads of state, business magnates, and members of the UAE royal family official confirmations remain limited, as many high-profile names are kept confidential until arrival. Nevertheless, the confirmed presence of global institutions and multinational corporations underscores the international significance of the summit.

Key Indian and global corporations across technology, aerospace, finance, healthcare, green energy, education, infrastructure, and mobility will participate in the event. These include Micron India, Hitachi Energy, O2 Power, Greenko, Apollo Hospitals, IIT Hyderabad, NASSCOM, DRDO, Safran, Skyroot Aerospace, Dhruva Space, GMR Group, Tata Realty, CapitaLand, Laurus Labs, Amul, Swiggy, AWS, Goldman Sachs, Blackstone, Deloitte, and Kotak Bank, among others. Their involvement reflects Telangana’s ambition to present itself as a multisectoral global destination for investment and innovation.

Governor Jishnu Dev Varma will inaugurate the summit on December 8. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has been personally overseeing the preparations, inspecting the venue at Bharat Future City and ensuring that the arrangements reflect world-class hospitality and international standards. The government has arranged for contingency plans including special flights for dignitaries in case ongoing airline disruptions affect travel. A statue of ‘Telangana Thalli’ is also being installed at the venue, symbolizing the state’s cultural pride and identity. Officials have emphasized that the summit is being organized on par with the World Economic Forum (WEF) held annually in Davos, highlighting Telangana’s aspiration to position itself as a global platform for dialogue and economic cooperation.

Across the two-day event, 27 specialized sessions will take place across four halls. The discussions on Day 1 will cover themes such as green mobility, semiconductors, frontier technologies, education, aerospace and defence, talent mobility, accessible healthcare, agriculture value chains, the gig economy, and international partnerships including engagements with Korea, Australia, and Canada. Day 2 will feature sessions on life sciences innovation, tourism and heritage, Olympic sports, affordable housing, blue-green infrastructure, integrated transport, entrepreneurship, public-private partnerships, global capability centres, and the startup ecosystem. The schedule is designed to present a holistic view of Telangana’s strengths while opening discussions on future-ready policies and collaborations.

The Telangana Rising 2047 Vision Document, which will be launched during the summit, will capture the government’s strategy for long-term economic transformation. It includes sector-wise plans for infrastructure development, investment promotion, technology-led growth, sustainability, employment generation, agricultural modernization, and rural-urban connectivity. The document lays out a cohesive framework that integrates future city development, financial hub strategies, innovation ecosystems, environmental goals, and global partnerships.

With its diverse participants, global institutional presence, multisectoral sessions, and cultural showcases, the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 represents a defining moment for the state. It signals Telangana’s intent to emerge as a global hub for technology, sustainability, commerce, culture, and human development.
