The horror thriller ‘418’ is turning up the fear factor with its Hindi, Kannada and Tamil trailers now released ahead of its worldwide theatrical debut on October 23, 2026. Presented by filmmaker Prashanth Neel and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film marks the directorial debut of Kirtan Nadagouda, who has also written the story.

The trailer revolves around a mysterious building that has remained sealed for 15 years. At the centre of the mystery is Room No. 418, which appears to be connected to a series of unexplained and disturbing incidents. The story introduces 18-year-old Vivek, who begins sensing strange occurrences but struggles to convince others, with his experiences initially being dismissed as hallucinations.

The mystery takes a darker turn when the sealed property is reopened. The arrival of Devika, a pregnant woman, adds another unsettling layer to the narrative, while the trailer hints at supernatural forces and secrets hidden inside the building. Rather than depending entirely on conventional jump scares, the film appears to combine psychological tension, atmospheric horror and disturbing visuals.

Chaithra Achar is seen in an intense and eerie role, while Surya Raj, Charan Lakkaraju, Preethi Pagadala and Shashank Patil are also part of the cast. Dinesh Divakar has handled the cinematography, while Venky GG and Ullas Hydoor are associated with the music and production design respectively.

The film also faced certification-related hurdles before its release. Reports earlier indicated that the makers approached the Revising Committee after the CBFC raised objections over horror elements. The film eventually received an ‘A’ certificate, with the makers cautioning pregnant women, children below 18 and people with heart or psychological conditions.

Originally scheduled for September, the film was postponed as the makers worked towards a wider multilingual release. ‘418’ will now arrive in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Hindi on October 23, promising audiences a serious horror experience built around one disturbing question: what was hidden inside Room No. 418 for 15 years?
