41? Luka Modric Isn't Done Yet, AC Milan Makes Big Decision

Luka Modric has once again proved that age is no barrier to greatness after signing a one-year contract extension with AC Milan, ensuring the Croatian legend will continue playing top-flight football even after turning 41.

The announcement came shortly after Modric returned from his fifth FIFA World Cup, where he once again led Croatia with distinction. The veteran midfielder started all four matches for his country, crossed the remarkable milestone of 200 international appearances, and remained one of Croatia's most influential players throughout the tournament.

Croatia's World Cup campaign ended in heartbreaking fashion with a 2-1 defeat to Portugal in the Round of 32. Modric was still battling on the pitch deep into extra time before a controversial disallowed goal ended Croatia's hopes of progressing further.
