3D Hanuman epic Vayuputra announced
Acclaimed Telugu filmmaker Chandoo Mondeti, best known for Karthikeya , Karthikeya 2 , and the upcoming Thandel , has unveiled his most ambitious project yet a 3D animated epic on Lord Hanuman titled Vayuputra . The film is slated for a grand Dussehra 2026 release, promising to redefine mythological storytelling in Indian cinema.
The first look poster of Vayuputra was unveiled on Tuesday, featuring a striking image of Hanuman standing on a hilltop, overlooking the burning city of Lanka. The visual has already set social media abuzz, with fans praising the film’s cinematic scale and spiritual resonance.
Produced by Sithara Entertainments, in collaboration with Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, Sai Soujanya, Srikara Studios, and Fortune Four Cinemas, the project is being envisioned as a “sacred spectacle” that merges temple-like spiritual grandeur with cutting-edge animation technology.
The film will release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, targeting a Pan-India audience. Industry insiders say the film will explore the timeless themes of Hanuman’s devotion, strength, and heroism—taglined as “Devotion That Moved Mountains.”
Speaking about the vision, sources close to the team described Vayuputra not just as a film, but as an immersive cultural experience aimed at younger generations as well as devotees of Lord Hanuman.
With Vayuputra , Mondeti joins a growing wave of filmmakers reimagining Indian mythology through modern cinematic tools. If the first glimpse is any indication, this Dussehra 2026 could mark the dawn of a new era in Indian animation cinema.
