₹362 Crore Boost for Khammam: Munneru–Paleru Link Canal and JNTU College Unveiled

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Sunday launched and laid foundation stones for major development works worth ₹362 crore in Khammam, aimed at upgrading key infrastructure and improving public services. He said the government is focused on delivering visible progress in healthcare, education and irrigation, while ensuring transparency in administration.

The CM laid the foundation stone for the Munneru–Paleru Link Canal and the proposed JNTU Engineering College in the region. He also inaugurated a 100-bed government hospital at Kusumanchi , a new market yard at Maddulapalli , and the newly built Nursing College at Edulapuram , stating these projects would create better opportunities for the local population and strengthen public facilities.

During an interaction with nursing students, CM Revanth Reddy highlighted global demand for healthcare professionals, noting that nursing offers strong career prospects abroad especially in Japan and Germany . To overcome the language barrier, he announced that the Telangana government will provide Japanese and German language training , appointing qualified trainers to nursing colleges to help students access international employment opportunities.

Addressing a public meeting, the CM said eligible citizens without ration cards would be granted them upon application. He also announced plans to develop the Bhadrachalam Sri Rama temple on the lines of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir , reinforcing the government’s commitment to both development and cultural heritage.

Responding to reports around the Singareni block tender issue , the CM asserted that there was no scope for irregularities in his government and that all contracts would be awarded through legal and transparent procedures . He cautioned against unverified allegations targeting ministers and public representatives, and said disputes among media owners should not be dragged into governance.

Meanwhile, Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said his priority is to repay the trust of the Paleru constituency by driving development across sectors with the CM’s support. He urged people to continue backing the Congress in upcoming civic polls and to reject forces attempting to obstruct welfare and progress.
