₹33 Lakh Eco Gift to Tirumala: Chennai Realtor Donates 5 Battery Buggies

In a significant contribution aimed at improving pilgrim convenience at the sacred hill shrine of Tirumala , Chennai-based realtor Bal Ramajayam has gifted five battery-operated buggies valued at nearly ₹33 lakh to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) .

The eco-friendly vehicles were formally dedicated to the temple administration on Thursday after priests performed Vedic rituals marking their ceremonial induction. The keys were later handed over to TTD Additional Executive Officer C.H. Venkayya Chowdary , symbolising the official transfer.

With millions of devotees visiting the abode of Lord Venkateswara every year, mobility within the temple premises remains a key focus area for the administration. The newly donated battery buggies are expected to ease transportation, particularly benefiting elderly and differently-abled pilgrims , while also promoting environmentally sustainable practices.

TTD, in a statement, lauded the donor’s philanthropic gesture and noted that such contributions significantly strengthen pilgrim services and infrastructure. The temple body expressed heartfelt appreciation to Bal Ramajayam for supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing the spiritual experience of devotees at the revered shrine.
