3 Killed, 25 Injured in Three Accidents on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Rajasthan

Three people were killed and 25 others injured in three separate road accidents on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Rajasthan's Dausa district on Friday, police said.

The first accident occurred near Gudliya village in the jurisdiction of Kolwa police station, where a sleeper bus travelling from Ahmedabad to Delhi rammed into a truck ahead of it.

According to Dausa Superintendent of Police Piyush Dixit, the bus driver, Surendra Singh Rajput (46), a resident of Amrewaadi in Ahmedabad, was killed in the crash. Twenty-one passengers were injured and admitted to Dausa district hospital for treatment.

In another incident near Chudiyawas village under the Nangal Rajawatan police station area, two people were killed after being hit by a speeding truck.

Police said Sahil Meena (16) and Mahendra Meena (22) were standing near the expressway railing when the truck, travelling from Dausa towards Lalsot, struck them.

Nangal Rajawatan SHO Hussain Ali said the truck driver fled the scene after the accident. The victims were taken to Dausa district hospital by their families, where doctors declared them dead. Police have launched a search for the absconding driver.

The third accident took place under the jurisdiction of Sadar police station, where a car was hit by an unidentified vehicle on the expressway. Four people Lokesh Singh (25), Piyush Agrawal (27), Ruchir Vyas (25), and Vineet Verma (43), all residents of Jaipur sustained injuries.

They were admitted to Dausa district hospital, police said.

The latest incidents come amid continuing concerns over road safety on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, particularly along stretches passing through Rajasthan's Dausa district.
