
₹21 Lakh Donation Boost for Tirupati Zoo’s Wildlife Care
The Sri Venkateswara Zoological Park received a donation of ₹21 lakh on Friday under its animal adoption programme, giving a notable push to its wildlife conservation efforts. Zoo officials said the contribution came from a service organisation based in Punjab .
Zoo Curator C. Selvam noted that the funds will be used to support animal welfare activities, including feeding, upkeep, and veterinary care . He explained that the financial support would help improve living conditions for the animals and ensure better management within the park.
Officials highlighted that such donations are vital for advancing wildlife conservation and enhancing the standard of care provided to animals. They added that the adoption scheme plays an important role in sustaining long-term protection and welfare initiatives.
The zoo administration has urged individuals, institutions, and corporate bodies to take part in the programme and extend support for wildlife conservation.
