Formula One will stage a 24-race 2027 season across 22 countries, with Bahrain opening the championship and Abu Dhabi hosting the finale in December, under the calendar announced by the FIA.

The season will begin at the Bahrain Grand Prix from March 12-14, followed by Saudi Arabia from March 19-21. Australia, Japan and China will then host consecutive rounds in April, before the championship moves to Miami and Canada.

The European leg will feature Monaco, Portugal, Britain, Austria, Belgium, Hungary, Italy and Spain. The Portuguese Grand Prix returns to the calendar in June, while Madrid will continue to host Spain's round in September.

The calendar also marks the return of Türkiye, with the race scheduled for October 1-3. Singapore, Austin, Mexico City and Sao Paulo will follow before the championship heads to Las Vegas, Qatar and Abu Dhabi for the final three rounds.

One of the biggest changes for 2027 is the expansion of the Sprint format to a record 10 weekends. Bahrain, Australia, Japan and Monaco will host Sprint events for the first time, joining Canada, Britain, Italy, Brazil, Qatar and Abu Dhabi.

The 2027 calendar also brings several notable scheduling changes. The Netherlands is absent from the schedule, while Portugal and Türkiye return after previous appearances on the F1 calendar.

The championship will run from March to December, with a total of 24 Grands Prix spanning five continents. Pre-season testing is scheduled to take place in Bahrain from February 24-27.

The 2027 campaign will also coincide with Formula One's new technical era, with major changes to car regulations expected to shape competition throughout the season. The FIA said the calendar was designed with logistical efficiency and regional sequencing in mind.
