112 major Haryana projects monitored through PRAGATI platform

The Centre’s PRAGATI (Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation) portal , designed to monitor and fast-track major infrastructure and welfare projects , is playing a key role in accelerating development works in Haryana, with projects worth ₹5.44 lakh crore currently under execution in the state.

Launched in 2015 by the Prime Minister’s Office, PRAGATI is an online, multi-level governance platform that brings together the Prime Minister, Union ministries and state governments on a single digital interface to review critical projects and resolve implementation bottlenecks in real time. The system integrates data from central and state departments and is also used to track and redress public grievances, making it one of the government’s flagship tools for project monitoring and accountability.

According to official data, 112 major projects in Haryana are presently being tracked through the PRAGATI mechanism. Of these, 57 projects worth ₹94,153 crore have already been commissioned, while the remaining 55 projects accounting for nearly 85 per cent of the total investment value are still under various stages of implementation.

Among the commissioned projects, 13 schemes worth ₹30,463 crore were reviewed directly through PRAGATI. Roads and highways account for the largest share with 30 completed projects, followed by oil and gas (10), power transmission and distribution (9), railways (4), power generation (3) and one real estate project. These assets have significantly strengthened Haryana’s transport network, energy infrastructure and industrial base.

Of the 55 ongoing projects , 13 high-value schemes involving ₹2.24 lakh crore are under close monitoring on the PRAGATI platform. Sector-wise, roads and highways (22) dominate, followed by healthcare (9), railways (5), oil and gas (5), power transmission and distribution (4), IT and IT-enabled services (3) and power generation (3). Single projects are also underway in metro rail, industries and commerce, logistics park development and cement manufacturing.

Officials said several of these initiatives rank among the largest infrastructure projects in the National Capital Region, including expressways, dedicated freight corridors, telecom saturation drives and major healthcare institutions. The projects reflect a long-term push toward capital-intensive infrastructure aimed at improving connectivity, public services and economic growth.

The PRAGATI platform is aligned with the government’s broader vision of achieving the national development target of “Viksit Bharat @2047” by ensuring faster execution of projects, enhanced coordination between agencies and improved delivery of public welfare schemes.
