
₹100-Crore World-Class Amusement Park Planned for Visakhapatnam
Tourism is emerging as a key growth engine for Andhra Pradesh’s economy, State Minister for Tourism, Culture and Cinematography Kandula Durgesh said, calling for faster execution and sharper administrative focus .
At a high-level review in Velagapudi, the minister outlined a 15-year roadmap , focusing on investments , expansion of hospitality infrastructure, progress of approved projects, homestays, and centrally funded initiatives. He also stressed the need for innovative strategies to boost the state’s tourism visibility.
He directed officials to complete the “Akhanda Godavari” project before the upcoming Godavari Pushkaralu, while emphasising responsible tourism and policies to increase tourist footfall and support the creative economy .
Representatives of M/s Modern Masti Pvt. Ltd., Ram Prakash Maheshwari and Ankur Maheshwari, met the minister following an MoU signed at IAAPI Expo-2026 in Mumbai. The firm plans a ₹100-crore amusement park and resort in Visakhapatnam and appreciated the department’s support.
Under Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s “Swarna Andhra Tourism Vision 2047,” the government aims to position entertainment as a major tourism driver, with assurances of swift clearances for investors.
